Cornerstone's approach to membership growth is connection.  Connection to God, to family and to friends.  Connections are developed in each individual's life through connection to church services, events, fellowship and activities.  Also, through these connections, spiritual growth occurs eventually leading to service, different levels of involvement within the church and ministry.  Some venues for involvement and connection are:

"Van Ministry": Cornerstone reaches out to those who have limited access to transportation through the Van ministry by providing transportation to and from church services. Feel free to contact (540) 662-2562 opt. 7 to obtain transportation assistance or send an email request to transportation@cornerstoneupc.com.

Sure Foundation: Discipleship and spiritual Growth for members who have experienced the New Birth, (see below for more information)

 "Girlfriends Unlimited" Ladies Ministry: Fellowship, prayer, venues for spiritual and personal development, care groups for ministering to the needs of fellow members. Some events include:  Healing for Handmaidens, Morning Prayer, Late Night Prayer, G!Groups activities

"Kingdom Builders" Men's Ministry: Fellowship, prayer, venues for spiritual and personal development, mentoring for leadership and spiritual growth within the home and church. Some events include: Fishing Trip, Men's Conference, Evening Prayer,

"Flashpoint" Youth Ministry: A venue for fun, fellowship, worship, prayer and spiritual growth on a consistent basis through various activities, church services and events, mentoring for spiritual and personal growth 

Children's Ministries: Children's Ministries focuses on teaching our children from infant to youth to foster spiritual growth by teaching biblical principles in a nurturing and loving environment. Some events include: Vacation Bible School, BLAST ZONE, Sunday School class, and much more.

Bible studies: Cornerstone has a number of Bible studies available to cover a wide range of topics from the Bible.  Some are taught weekly, some are one hour in duration and can be taught in the home. Available Bible studies include Search for Truth, Into His Marvelous Light, More to Life and Sure Foundation to name a few.  Sure Foundation Life Development Series 

     Sure Foundation is an informative education class that covers basic foundational principles of Christian living and is offered to anyone desiring to learn these truths.  The class is a series of lessons organized topically, moving the participant to increasing levels of spiritual maturity. The series is a nine month, in-depth  Bible study series designed to  establish new church members with foundational Biblical principles for the purpose of personal and spiritual development. Upon completion, students will be equipped to explain Biblical principles and assume active roles in  church ministries.

     Sure Foundation is taught and hosted by Rev. & Mrs. Dave Olsen. Classes are held every Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. following praise and worship service.
